Forrest Myer is an undergraduate student at Stony Brook University majoring in English. He is interested in the ways that strong analytical reading, persuasive writing, and research can contribute to the study and practice of law. Following his undergraduate education, he plans to pursue a career in constitutional and immigration law.

Forrest’s interest in climate justice is closely connected to his legal aspirations. Recognizing that climate change is an increasingly important driver of migration and displacement, he is committed to understanding the lived experiences of communities affected by environmental change. His academic interests include legal advocacy, public policy, and interdisciplinary research that connects social, environmental, and human rights issues.

As an undergraduate intern with the Climate Knowledge Collective (CKC), Forrest supports research on community-based climate adaptation and contributes to projects that document and amplify local climate knowledge. Through his work with CKC, he is strengthening his research and writing skills while deepening his understanding of the relationship between climate change, human displacement, and environmental justice.
