Oral History Collection at Stony Brook University Libraries
The Climate Knowledge Collective Oral History Collection is preserved in partnership with Stony Brook University Libraries. Working with librarians and digital cultural heritage specialists, we ensure the long-term stewardship, discoverability, and accessibility of oral history interviews.
The collection is publicly available through Stony Brook University Libraries’ Digital Commons and Omeka platforms, supporting research, education, and community learning. Preservation files and archival metadata are managed in Preservica to ensure the long-term care of these materials.
Scholarship
CKC brings together researchers, activists, and academics whose scholarship connects climate change with questions of gender, justice, community knowledge, and adaptation. Across diverse geographies and disciplines, this work explores how communities respond to environmental change—from water and food systems and changing landscapes to political participation, cultural knowledge, and art–science collaboration. Grounded in fieldwork, collaboration, and lived experience, this scholarship reflects the range of perspectives that inform and extend CKC’s work.
